With reference to the recommended increase
of salary I would call attention to the fact that the Secre-
tary did not participate in the general increase granted in
1899, and it will be seen from the minutes of the Members,
that the Board in making the recommendation had in view the
large increase in the Secretary's work which has more than
doubled in mount since Mr. Duggan left for England.
I may add that since my appointment as
President Mr. Woodcock has given me every assistance in dis-
charging the duties which devolve upon me.
